I HIT THE NATIONALS - EXCITING - but stressful

TAKING IT RIGHT BACK - 

The Kent Messenger Newspaper seem to get a lot of there stories from local Neighbourhood internet site - 

HERNE BAY CHATTER - 

WHERE I SPEND A LOT OF TIME - AND HAVE MADE A LOT OF GOOD FRIENDS - 

It is a lovely Community Based forum to enjoy Local news and Gossip and chat and laughs and chill with fellow like minded individuals - and OK - No-body is QUITE as Loopy as my good self - But - They are ALL a lovely lovely bunch - bar non .. ( I love the Moaners too - they cheer me right up ! ) 

Anyway

I had an Email saying the Local Reporter had seen a couple of my paintings and had looked at my ABIGAIL BARRY ART PAGE on Facebook - and she liked my 'Story' - and could she please run a couple of things past me and maybe do a piece in the next Gazette - 

Well - Fine by me - i'm all over 'Tin'Ternet anyway !!

BASICALLY - GOT PITUITARY BRAIN TUMOURS - 

NOW I CAN PAINT - ! - 

PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK REALLY RATHER WELL !! 

OK - NOW, It gets all very exciting - and the Papers have not told any lies -

Except, most did it without my actual knowledge after 'borrowing' the initial story from the 

Kent Messenger Newspaper ! 

If I had known that the story was going to be Published NATIONALLY - 

I would have got some money from them and donated it to 

THE PITUITARY FOUNDATION - 

Who have been brilliant in TRYING to helping me ...

The Pit Foundation is for anyone who have been hit by pituitary conditions...

They support and inform patients with pituitary conditions on all sorts of facts 

They help inform health professionals 

and campaign to raise awareness of issues faced by pit patients.

They have really been a god send to me - and have made me understand that some Patients are NOT going to be treated on - and will need constant medication and symptom treatments

The Papers have not mentioned anything in any detail about my illness

But - In general - My story was told with Truth and Empathy.

Many patients with a pituitary disorder need life-long drug treatment 

Careful monitoring and their  own condition will, potentially, 

impact on many if not all, aspects of their life. 

The Articles did NOT mention this 

The Pituitary Foundation aims to provide information 

which will help minimise the day-to-day problems of living with pituitary disease, 

They helped me no-end - and in fact were a far greater help than many of the consultants i have seen over the years .

BUT - IT'S NOT THE STORY I WANTED TO TELL

Well - it is - But - they are not featuring enough on the FACTS and educating enough on the devastating effect Pituitary Gland Tumour's can have on everyday life of an Individual ..

THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO BRING TO THE TABLE !! 

Instead they have Pictures of me - Jollying it up in my front room - holding up a couple of my worst paintings, I expect to get a little bit of the Aw ' bless her, she is 'special' attitude, amongst their readers, bit of a pity vote going on i feel ! 

( Goes back to colouring and ONLY sticks tongue out when it is a really, ..  REALLY tricky bit .. )

But - the Other pictures they used were some of my best work - and i was actually really pleased - except at some of the captions - I had already named many of the pieces - but the journalist decided he was going to re-name them ... Not happy with that ! - But - in the great scheme of things and all that !

Oh - Have i actually told you ?

Well this morning - I got up and found my Story had hit the headlines - 

NO - NOT THAT STORY - REEL YASELF BACK BOYS -

 I was told Via a good friend on Facebook I was in the Nationals !

No - Not the Grand Nationals - BLOODY HELL - I CANT PUT MY LEG INTO MY JEANS LET ALONE GALLOP OVER A BLOODY JUMP ;) !

and so it goes on - 

I have since had a lady TRY to get my to sign up to her Media company for exclusivity on the Story - BUT - I have not yet 'signed' to anywhere - This lady is actually really persistent .. Saying she has worked with people with my Illness before - and she knows all about it - Well - as many doctors do not - I VERY MUCH DOUBT THAT - But - benefit of doubt and all that - 

She then asked for photos of me looking ill ( Non Smiling ! )  - 

and then looking FABULOUS !! - 

( Please - I always look Fabulous ) 

To which i replied - 

IT'S AN INVISIBLE ILLNESS - MEANING - YOU CAN'T SEE I'M ILL 

Then asked me for photos that were not selfies - to which my reply was - 

I'm Housebound - I HARDLY GO OUT - AND WHEN I DO IT'S A STRUGGLE - 

I'M NOT THEN INTO TAKING SNAP SHOTS - 

and if i am - IT'S A SELFIE !!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

She asked again for an 'illness' pic - so i sent one of me asleep - 

WELL - THAT SHOWS HOW TIRED I AM DOES IT NOT ?? 

But - and is now getting on my nerves a tad with her - 

'Sign the deal' and we'll go ahead and work things through - BUT 

OH PLEASE - THIS IS ALL A LITTLE SILLY if you ask me ! ...

So - I turned off the Computer and my phone and fell asleep - for three hours !!! 

Oh - Now I come back and I have been contacted by the Independent and also South East Today, Meridian South East and THIS MORNING with Philip and erm - Fearne ?? 

PLEASE THE SILVER FOX HIMSELF !! - PHILLLLLLLLLLLLIP SCHOFIELD - 

Phil n a Unicorn - we'd have a blast !

But - pmsl - sod's law - there is NO WAY i could deal with that !! - 

I'd bring down the studios in a Hulk Smash Storm !! 

People need to realise that YES - 

ID LOVE TO DO ALL THESE INTERVIEWS AND CHAT AND DISCUSS WORK - 

BUT - I'M BLOODY EXHAUSTED FROM IT ALL AFTER JUST A FEW HOURS ! 

It's all too stressful and if i couldn't deal with too many people before - I still can't - 

EVEN IF IT IS PHILIP SCHOFIELD !! 

One person said - " Well - when you can be "BOTHERED" ... Get in touch " - 

WHEN I CAN BE BOTHERED = WHEN I CAN BE BOTHERED - ARE YOU KIDDING ME !

And your TRYING to get me to sign with you ??? 

My second word was Off !! 

IF THESE PEOPLE LOOKED INTO THE ILLNESS - THEY WILL FIND OUT - 

I SWITCH OFF - AND THAT WONT CHANGE ! 

OBVIOUSLY ( I would have thought ) 

THINGS WONT BE DIFFERENT IF YOU WAVE MONEY AT ME - 

OR FAMOUS PEOPLE - 

I STILL HAVE NO CONTROL OVER MY BLOODY HEAD !!
