A Ghost 👻, Three Animals and Five Chronic Illnesses walked into a bar !! 🤣🤣
Headline: Why a Ghost, Three Animals, and Five Chronic Illnesses are My New "C-Suite" Executives
I’ve spent a lot of time "at the office," but lately, my office looks a bit different. While I’ve had to step away from the traditional workplace due to Pituitary brain tumors, Lymphedema, Lipedema, and a handful of other uninvited medical guests, I haven't stopped working.
I’ve just pivoted to a new industry: The Business of Resilience.
I am moving my blog, "Laugh with Abby," to Facebook, and I want to invite my professional network to see what happens when you apply high-level motivation to a "hysterically funny" real-life crisis.
Here are 3 reasons why "Laugh with Abby" is your new favorite follow:
1. Extreme Resource Management: I manage a household consisting of myself, a circus of animals, and "Margaret"—a fun, resident old lady ghost who refuses to sign a non-disclosure agreement. If I can navigate her antics while managing PCOS and Hypothyroidism, I can navigate anything.
2. The Art of the Pivot: Living with acute illness isn't about the struggle; it’s about the strategy. I share how to maintain an upbeat, intelligent, and articulate outlook even when your body tries to "file for bankruptcy."
3. The ROI of Joy: Positivity is a currency. I’ve found that being "hysterically funny" about brain tumors and chronic pain is the most effective way to motivate myself—and hopefully, a few thousand other people—to keep showing up.
I may not be in the boardroom, but I am leading a movement focused on grit, humor, and the raw reality of living a big life in a complicated body.
